Dear Justin,

I am still alive. I am surviving post-vacation vacation. Sorry I haven’t written, been having highs and lows, and still feeling the need to withdraw from social media, including emails and now even Instagram. Next big project is a major cleanup and de-cluttering of the workshop, as we turn the upstairs salon into a guest room, and I will soon occupy the basement as a working studio. Want to make some sellable art for the leadup to Christmas at Tuck. I finally sent an introductory letter to Pierre at Pacart today but he is on vacation for 2 weeks. I updated my LinkedIn account, does anyone actually use LinkedIn for finding work or workers? I still need to finish some calculations for my taxes, ugh, but Kim has agreed to do them this week even though she, too, is on vacation.

Dear Justin,

I am still alive. I am barely surviving the Madame Charest from Elections Canada, who has been harrassing Clo since the springtime over minor irregularities in our campaign report. It boggles the mind to think of the resources they must throw into counting every single nickle and dime of political contributions. I’m all for that kind of attention to detail when it comes to a campaing such as yours, for example, which probably spends very close to the limit but more importantly fundraises a ton of cash. One needs to be careful that wealthy donors don’t give too much. But my whole campaign raised $2990! And I dumped over $3000 of my own money into it, and Madame Charest is literally nickelling and diming us to death. We survived our 10- year anniversary BBQ but this little isssue might be the one that breaks the camels back, and ends in

divorce.
