dear Justin,

I am still alive. Got stuck at Camp Marge this past weekend during what was supposed to be a brief afternoon visit with the kids. The driveway was too icy. Ericka just couldn’t do it. Eventually a neighbour tried with an ATV and another came with a tractor. Also on Friday I helped block rail lines in Point St-Charles, just escaped a CN ticket. My mind and body feel way too overloaded with the end of the “humanitarian pause” and the renewed bombing campaign, the new deaths, your ongoing support of genocide. It’s exhausting but we won’t stop.

Dear Justin,

Did we ever get the dumping of snow last night! If the teachers were not on strike already then it would have been a snow day for sure. I spent the morning at the CCMP for the Street Solidarity Union meeting, then the afternoon in a rushed frenzy of shovelling snow as I needed

to drive both Ericka and Old Gregor to Pneus Touchette to get their winter tires on. I was a bit late for the appointment as I had to
unload Jess’s car before putting her winter tires in. Anyway it all
worked out. Tonight I had a MM solidarity market fundraiser planning meeting and then Rose and I watched the season finale of Loki. And now I’m back to reading and researching about how the hell to break the zionist hold over our elected officials who somehow manage to convince you that an apartheid state is not committing ethnic cleansing and genocide and stealing land but is only “defending itself”. We will not stop and you are on the wrong side. Sleep well. Every morning you wake up with the blood of more children on your hands. How do you live with yourself? It’s infuriating!

Dear Justin,

Spent the day mostly at home cooking and baking and getting xmas cards ready to send out west. Baked a type of pain d’épi based on a recipe from Imamu. Went sliding with Sol. Almost forgot to take him to a handball practice. Started watching Ratatouille with Rose. Am constantly in and out of Signal groups planning and strategizing more ways of getting our useless elected officials to actually do something about Israel flattening Gaza and murdering children. Aren’t you so very tired of it all? It must annoy you. Maybe it doesn’t. How could it not? I just cannot understand how people who actually have power refuse to use it. Or just use the power to uphold the status quo. Like what you’re doing.

Dear Justin,

At work with Sol, futzing around, ostensibly cleaning and organizing but probably will just wrap and re-wrap and wrap again the package to send out west. Aaron always sends things wrapped a gazillion times. Part of the fun. Vox did get a letter from the “Index Palestine” which is seeking cultural organizations to make explicit their position regarding Israel and their war crimes against Gaza and the West Bank. We haven’t discussed it as a team yet, how to proceed. I’ll let you know.

Dear Justin,

Another bland day at work – Sol likes it here more than I do at the moment. He plays Roblox while I putter around, my head overflowing from the injustices of the world. I think I’m maybe a bit depressed from it all. Maybe I’ll send you another long fax.

Home now. Did you get the fax? I sent it to the Ottawa office. Also left a Google review of Indigo and how their CEO funds a foundation that basically pays non-Israelis to serve in the IDF, which is
probably breaking some CRA laws btw.

Happy Hanukkah. You can and should call for a ceasefire and still celebrate Hanukkah. You can call for a ceasefire and not be anti-Semitic. You can denounce the Israeli apartheid state and celebrate Hanukkah and still not be anti-Semitic. You can denounce Israeli war crimes and the indiscriminate – or targeted – bombing of civilians and hospitals, and still celebrate Hanukkah and not be anti-Semitic. Your obstinance is exhausting but we won’t give up.

Dear Justin,

Took Ericka to the garage this morning as I dislodged one of her
mufflers backing into a snowbank parking the other day. Then I picked Rose up in Old Gregor to take her to her friends house for a birthday sleepover. Then I met up with a fellow Mosquito at the Old Vic fence
to put up a TRUTH in orange ribbons. Then we walked to meet up with the rally and marched for a few hours with around 5000 people demanding a ceasefire. I heard you had meetings today with a delegation of foreign ministers from Saudi Arabia (currently negotiating “the deal of the century” with Israel to build a big shipping canal), Türkiye, and the Palestinian Authority (essentially Israel’s lapdog in the West Bank –
isn’t the Palestine Liberation Organization the governing body
recognized by the UN?) where you continued to suck Israel’s ass
squeaky clean. How does it taste? Can you say Ceasefire yet? Do you remember when Israel had “only” murdered a thousand children? And then 2,000? And then three thousand? Do you know what the death toll is now for INNOCENT CHILDREN (or “future terrorists” as some Israeli officials have called them)? I’m guessing that at this point you don’t
care. Which makes you a shitty father and an awful human.

Dear Justin,

Happy Human Rights day, as Israel continues war crimes against Palestinians. I went to a « read-in » at the Indigo with about a dozen young kids and even more adults, to read stories about Palestine. The store called the cops within minutes, but we got three good stories in before the group decided to leave. None of the store employees I asked took my personal letter addressed to the manager explaining the reasons for the boycott – Heather Reisman and her Heseg foundation for « Lone Soldiers ». Jess helped me make really cool bookmarks that say simply « Heather picks War » and a QR code to the CJPME boycott page. All in all a decent day. I’m hoping that there is a big response to the call for a global strike tomorrow.

Have you ever even read a book about the history of Israel? 1948? The Nakba? Sent with positive vibes from my super-duper hand-held computing device.

Dear Justin,

Did you participate in the global strike for Palestine today? Of course you didn’t. I went to a sit-in at the lobby of a building downtown that houses the offices of Zim shipping, an Israeli company known for shipping arms to Israel. There were coordinated actions at Zim offices in London, Toronto and Vancouver. Typical heavy police presence but no arrests here. This meant I was clear to attend the last bit of the SSU weekly hangout followed by a MM solidarity market fundraising committee meeting. Then tonight Jess and I put up the Christmas tree, and watched a couple episodes of Party Down to decompress and find a bit of humour amidst all the news of genocide and climate catastrophe. Fingers crossed that the special UN vote passes tomorrow, but can that stop the bombing? How do we stop the bombing? Any bright ideas?

Dear Justin,

Finally Canada has voted for a ceasefire at the UN. But the statement the PMO put out today was an absolute gutter fire. Are you all so blinded by zionist propaganda that you have no senses left anymore? Is the Canadian brand of settler-colonialism so deeply set in to your very being that you don’t see that Israel is doing it but just on steroids and at x10 speed? Stop writing and saying garbage and do your damn job already. Leader my ass.

Dear Justin,

haha 1312 = ACAB

I woke up feeling angsty from the ongoing genocide and your lame statement from yesterday, so I didn’t go to work. Tried and failed to catch up on paperwork and housework. Walked up to meet Rose and we walked to Poubelle du ski to get skates for the kids. Sol stayed in,

he was sick all day with a gastro. Rose and I had fries at Frites
Alors and discussed the MCU and some ideas she has about introducing her own OC into a Spider-man timeline and pitching it to Marvel.

Anyway I’ve made some additions to your statement from yesterday, making it a little more balanced.

Today, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke with the Prime Minister of Israel, War Criminal Benjamin Netanyahu.

Prime Minister Trudeau underscored Israel’s right to defend itself in accordance with international law, although the attack Israel faced on October 7 came from an armed group in a territory, Gaza, that Israel
has effectively controlled. Israel withdrew its forces from Gaza in
2005, but it has imposed a land, sea and air blockade on the enclave since Hamas came to power in 2007. This amounts to occupation including international humanitarian law, and unequivocally condemned Hamas, its brutal attacks resistance against Israel, and its

unacceptable treatment of hostages. who were arguably treated better than Palestinian hostages, and who were also at risk of dying from the Israeli bombing campaign He called for the immediate and unconditional release of all remaining hostages. In April 2022, there were 4,450 Palestinian security prisoners in Israeli prisons – including 160
children, 32 women, and 530 “administrative detainees” (incarcerated without charge). Since October 7, between 4,000 and 5,000 Palestinians working in Israel who were attempting to flee have gone missing,
having been detained by the Israeli government. Released Palestinians have recalled being blindfolded with their hands and feet tied and
later being beaten by Israeli forces, who withheld food, water, and medical supplies.

Prime Minister Trudeau stressed the importance of ensuring safe and unimpeded access to life-saving humanitarian aid for ALL civilians? Is he referring to the 18,000 murdered civilians of Gaza, including over 7,000 children, and more than 1-million displaced with no safe place to go? He called for further humanitarian pauses a “pause” to collective punishment is not humanitarian and expressed support for urgent international efforts toward a sustainable why not permanent? ceasefire. The Prime Minister also underscored that this cannot be one-sided, is not the current assault on Gaza one-sided? and that Hamas must stop using civilians as human shields, while it is uncontested that Hamas weapons and fighters are located in civilian areas, that in itself does not constitute human shielding – and the Israeli army also has military bases in civilian areas lay down its

arms, and can play no role in the future governance of Gaza. Can Canada really make these demands? Is this not political interference? He reaffirmed as an afterthought the importance of renewing efforts toward a two-state solution to secure lasting peace in the region. Israel’s policies and actions in its ongoing occupation since the 1993 Oslo accords have failed the two-state solution and instead created an apartheid state.

Ignorant dipshit puppet Prime Minister Trudeau and War Criminal Prime Minister Netanyahu reaffirmed the strong bond unconditional, unquestioning support between Israel and Canada and agreed to remain in contact as BFFs as the situation develops.

Dear Justin,

Our fundraising solidarity market for the Mohawk Mothers was a moderate success . I’m exhausted from dragging gear there and back, and from a 4-hour blitz at work this morning making Sketchup components for Diane’s travelling expo jeunesse.

Dear Justin,

Would it be in bad taste to start my letters with “I am still alive”, like I did so many years ago? Probably. Did you know that Israel has killed over 90 journalists since October 7? Do you care?

Today Sol had a handball tournament so I spent the whole day inside a gymnasium watching 10 year-olds play a sport I never have. They lost the final match but they played well and it’s good Sol has a physical activity to balance out all the video games.

Dear Justin,

Another night of insomnia. Last night was bowling for the Vox Xmas party, I brought the kids who really liked it, and then after we all went to le Roi de Smoked meat. I had a salad because I’d already had a poutine at IKEA earlier in the day. I went with Rose to get frames. My throat began hurting late last night and by this morning I thought I had full blown COVID, but it was a negative test. I still felt wiped out so I cancelled the solstice meeting with the Mohawk Mothers, the lunchtime Xmas party at Vox and stopping by the Crafts Market at the CCMP and instead slept until almost 3. Which is probably why I have insomnia now. Which sucks because I’ll be 7 hours in the car tomorrow. Tonight the kids and I met my Ex at Nouveau Palais to give Rose her birthday present, which was the tickets to see Hatsune Miku in Toronto in May. She was so surprised and very happy, she cried a little bit. It felt weird to be hanging out with my Ex but not awful. Nothing at all compared to dealing with you and the rich and powerful Israeli lobby that just want to pound Gaza into the ground. I really hope it is true that the world wakes up and will finally punish Israel for war crimes and the occupation and apartheid system ends. And we elect people who will make better decisions, based on human rights and not money. And we change our electoral system. And we push to implement the remaining 81 calls to action from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. And we stop investing in fossil fuels. Is it too much to ask? Not too much to fight for.

Dear Justin,

I am still alive. I survived the drive to Stratford. I don’t know how I am still awake on maybe 5 hours sleep last night max. I must be happy to see my Jess. We’re at her dad’s place tonight and then off to see her friend Alex tomorrow.

Oh, and this letter marks one every second day for this year, a milestone I don’t think I’ve reached in a long time, maybe more than 10 years. Congratulations?

Dear Justin, Happy birthday.

We’re back in Montreal, we survived the drive from London. We were a bit delayed by a flat tire; it was either a slow leak or someone let
the air out of it. The tire was completely flat when we were about to leave, so I called CAA to come pump it up. I checked it every time we stopped on the way home but it never seemed to lose any air. Maybe just another Ericka quirk. Anyway, your PR team keep posting insipid pictures of you and your family enjoying the holidays while the genocide of Palestinians continues unabated, maybe even accelerated as less people tune in and of course as Meta blocks or censors those posting about the atrocities committed. It’s a fucking nightmare, a

true hell on earth. How are you sleeping at night?

Dear Justin,

I can’t believe you have the gall to go off to Jamaica with your
family for the next week, all while the genocide continues. I guess
I’m no better, I didn’t go to disrupt Boxing Day shopping, instead to the spa with Jess and had a massage. Trying to rid the images from my mind, trying to lose the feeling of powerlessness we have when we see the people who could make a difference simply go off on a sunny vacation. Makes me sick.
