Dear Justin,
Happy October 1, it should be a pre-Halloween holiday of some sort. Jess and I went to our favourite cafe and wandered the neighbourhood a bit, checked out a new(?) record store / café/ casse croute and I refilled my meds which had run out on Wednesday and I think I was starting to feel a little manic. Tonight we finished watching a series we started yesterday called The Rehearsal.

Dear Justin,
I started the day dropping Ericka off for a deep clean, then a couple hours of hanging out at Comm’un with folks from the neighbourhood, then picked up cleaning supplies from CanTire and set about cleaning up under Ericka’s hood. Drove Rose home to her mom’s after school since she has managed to lose yet another Opus card, also she had left her earbuds in her room. This evening was a screening of the documentary Someone Lives Here, about Khaleel Seivwright and the tiny shelters he was making for the unhoused in Toronto back in 2021 during peak Pandemic and how the city reacted so poorly to it, ultimately destroying the encampments. Seems some folks are more concerned about appearances and property values and of course maintaining the status quo than making sure people don’t freeze to death just trying to survive the winter.

Dear Justin,
I’m doing a shift of monitoring at the construction site at the Old Vic this morning. Allegedly there has been more items recovered but the SQI and McGill are not sharing info with the Mohawk Mothers so there is a big fear that evidence of potential unmarked graves is being destroyed.

Dear Justin,
So the SQI and McGill do seem to be digging and moving earth around without the proper knowledge or participation of the Mohawk Mothers and the cultural liaisons. Also they removed all the orange ribbons from the fence. Do you think that they actually paid one of their construction workers to do it or was it a disgruntled racist individual operating on hatred? Who makes a decision like that? Anyway we had some orange and purple fabric so new ribbons have started going up. I’ll add some more during my shift tomorrow morning.

Also, I had another weird interaction with cops today. A young man had passed out on the corner of St. Laurent and Maissonneuve and four cops were standing around him but not in a caring, empathetic way, just as though one might stand around a campfire. A few times they would use their feet to roll the poor guy back on the sidewalk. A young SPVM officer all beefed up on steroids and with aggression running through his veins really didn’t want me just watching, but he didn’t give me as much a hard time as he did another Indigenous man, who then started loudly filming the whole affair. Then the paramedics showed up and were taking the young man to hospital so I left.

Dear Justin,
Swung by the Old Vic site this morning and wouldn’t you know it they have removed all the ribbons that we’ve placed on the fence since Tuesday. Can you imagine that someone, a human being, is making a decision to tell a construction worker to go along that fence with a knife or multi-tool to remove tiny lengths of orange fabric ribbons? Must mean it is affecting someone somewhere. Anyway I’m at Vox this morning, I took a covid test this morning because I’m sneezing and have a constant runny nose but I’m negative. Just a cold.

Dear Justin,
It felt so good to sleep in this morning!Jess and I had brunch and discussed our upcoming big solar purchase. I received a shipping
quote, almost $500 USD! And the total order including shipping will come to almost exactly $5000. It should give us a system that will be much more than we need, especially if it is only an energy-efficient refrigerator as the biggest load. We could probably run a decent AC
unit from the summer, and maybe even a small ceramic or convection heater in the winter. We don’t yet know how efficient the woodstove
is. Anyway I spent some time in the afternoon getting some orange clothing from a thrift shop to turn into ribbons for the Old Vic site,
but I decided to keep some of the kids shirts and dresses intact and painted the words “truth” and “vérité” on them in purple. Then went to the site to zip tie them in place. We’re planning a larger group
ribbonfest on Monday morning. I’m assuming that our ribbons should be able to last until at least Tuesday morning as it is a long weekend.
Do you have plans for Thanksgiving? I don’t, does that make me a bad dad?

Dear Justin,
It rained all day today. It’s still raining. The kids and I played
some Mario Party in the morning, then we went out hunting for items for Rose’s Halloween costume. Checked a couple different Renaissances with no luck, and eventually found a black dress at H&M for $8! I dislike the fast fashion but hard to beat that price. Picked up some groceries and then came home to cook and I wanted to watch Across the Spider-verse but the file I downloaded had really poor sound quality
so Sol continued watching his Youtube videos and Rose and I finally started watching Arrival together but then she got bored with it and went to bed early. So I’m left trying to decide whether to read,
whether to study up more on solar power inverters and chargers, whether to look for a second-hand gas generator on Kijiji, whether to list Ericka for sale, whether to do anything or nothing at all.

Dear Justin,
Slept in because Rose woke me up in the middle of the night smelling smoke or burning of some kind. I could smell it a bit too in her room but after checking all the electrical I think it was her baseboard
heater, which was on by only a quarter turn or so, but maybe the drop in temperature outside was enough to trigger it on, resulting in that heated dust smell. Anyway I couldn’t fall back asleep right away so read for I don’t know how long. Today Sol went to his friend Victor’s house for the day, Rose and I went to Ikea as I wanted some frames for the small works I have to send to Tuck asap. We ate a late lunch
there, ended up spending almost 3 hours there. We stopped by the studio afterwards, then came home, made a light supper, then started watching a weird movie called Spontaneous, about high school seniors who spontaneously pop, like blood-filled balloons. It’s horrific and hilarious at the same time.

Oh, and I made waffles for breakfast this morning, from scratch, and vegan, as per usual, except that I forgot to put the coconut oil in
with the cashew milk and when I mixed it in after the whole mixture became hard and doughy, resulting in hard waffles. Still edible, but not as light and fluffy as my usual waffles. The we finished the Mario Party we had started yesterday. Mario (Sol) was the Superstar, again.

Dear Justin,
What a day, my poor fifty-year old bones are tired. Started early with
an hour and a half of ribboning at the Royal Vic site, then an hour
and a half meeting with the Solidarity Street Union, then straight
back home as Sol’s friend was coming over for an eventual visit to Laronde that was cancelled due to rain but also because Rose just
didn’t want to take them, partly because Oona cancelled but also
because she had a presentation to work on, but mostly because she just didn’t want to take the boys. Understandable. Then I had a haircut
with Miwa, picked up Victor’s switch and gear to bring back for the
boys, then Jess and I went to Canadian Tire to pick up the things she
had ordered for our Resort. Can you believe we bought a resort? I ordered our solar components, all except the chargeverter, which is
out of stock, but we should’t need it unless we go too many days
without enough sun to charge up the battery. Our battery is a 48v 50ah
so will be able to go a good long time with the small loads we
anticipate. Anyway the exchange rate with the US is nuts, it seems
that the loonie is in freefall or something, the order was $3600USD
and cost us over $5KCAN. Tonight I helped Rose with her presentation while making supper, then we finished watching Spontaneous, which was very smart and funny and felt very real, despite the very bizarre and unreal premise of randomly exploding teens.

Dear Justin,
Was up early to see Rose off to school, Sol and I took our time getting out the door. Then was stuck in traffic on Avenue du parc because some dipshit with the city decided it would be a good idea to completely block access to Avenue des Pins ouest, which is exactly where I wanted to go to check on the status of the ribbons. I eventually parked on University and walked up the hill a ways, the ribbons are still there but McGill has written a letter to all faculty and staff attesting to their innocence and spewing falsehoods and demi-truths about the recent issues with the Mohawk Mothers. Anyway I’ve been at work with Sol but have hardly managed to do anything. We’re off now to run some errands and goto the studio so I can frame the last few wee little paintings and get them off in the mail stat.
Will probably cost more than I’ve make back even if I sell everything.

Dear Justin,
I’m still tired, even after having a nice little power nap at the studio. The 5×7 Dollarama frames do not fit the smallest of my wee paintings, so I’m sending them unframed. I’ll make the shipping box to send them tomorrow. Rose came over to the studio after school to work on her Halloween costume mask. We got stuck in rush hour traffic again on the way home. I don’t understand how people can do this on a regular basis. Stuck in traffic twice in one day is enough for me. Imagine repeating that five days a week? Maybe this is why Sol is sad tonight. He is in a mood where he sees the pointlessness of school and work. I told him he just needs to become a good Marxist and help overthrow the ruling class, the owners, the bosses. Speaking of work, I finally sent off my application for EI. I wonder if I’ll get paid before I’m actually back at Vox for the deinstall? Oh, and we heard from the notary, we’re going to sign the deed and take possession of our resort next Tuesday. Can you believe we bought a resort? I do feel guilty about actually buying stolen land. At least we’re not borrowing from an evil bank.

Another to boost my numbers. I’m trying to stay away from the news, as I’ve been hearing a lot of one-sided reports about the attack on the weekend. As a pacifist of course I condemn violence, all violence, especially the colonial violence that the state of Israel has imposed on Palestinians since at least 1948. Why is it so hard for you spineless politicians to say the right things at the right times? Why do you support Ukraine so unwaveringly and ignore the plight of Palestine? Do you ever think about it and see how hypocritical your empty words are? Do you think about what you are saying or do you just practice what is written for you and put on a good show?

I don’t know about you, but getting up at 6:15 in the morning to get the kids off to school and staying up until past midnight really wears me out. I had a nice long catnap today when I got home with Sol, after some time in the studio, packaging up and getting those little wee paintings off to the post office, I walked from Vox to the studio and then from the studio up to get Sol, where I had parked the car after dropping him off for school. I took the metro down to work. Hard to believe there is only another week and a half before the current show comes down. And McGill or the SQI have taken down the ribbons and shirts again, erasing the large word “TRUTH” we had made with purple and orange ribbons. I wonder if whoever is tasked with removing them ever thinks of the symbolism of their actions?

Dear Justin,
I got so mad while listening to one of the crap commercial radio stations this morning. The “news” was reporting on getting Canadians out of Israel, and how many were reported killed during the Hamas attack last weekend. Not a mention of the open-air prison that Gaza has become, nor the illegal war crimes Israel is now inflicting on Palestine by cutting off all access, which they control anyway, cutting off power, cutting off food and water, and bombing the hell out of everything. Fake news about beheaded babies overshadowing the real news of the constant colonialism of Zionist Israel since 1948. And you fall for it too! Are you a fucking ignorant dumb-ass or just a secret Zionist?

Set up an appointment to see a RAV4 with Jessica tomorrow afternoon. It’s a 2009 V6, I have a good feeling about it but since it will be Jess’s car it will be her decision. I still haven’t decided if I’m
keeping or selling Ericka, although today at Vox I cut down some aluminum to make my own custom roof racks. The I added more ribbons to the fence by the Royal Vic, spelling out the word Truth. It wasn’t really ribbons, I used that bright fluorescent surveyors tape. I’m hoping to get to the site early enough tomorrow morning to record the workers as they cut it down. It think it would be quite symbolic, watching someone erase the Truth.

Oh, and another thing. Sarah and Pascal are getting married next week, and are hosting a reception at our studio afterwards, but they had also invited my Ex and S, in the hope that we could all be ok, but the thought filled me with a dread that made me not even want to go. I
just don’t think I’m reading to see her in a social situation, especially a small gathering in an intimate space. Too many bad associations for me. I do question whether I am being selfish, or weak, or needlessly stubborn, but my gut tells me that it would hurt too much. The last few studio parties I attended with my Ex even before we tried that ridiculous year of fake polyamory hurt too much. I don’t want to be reminded of heartache like that, not at my friends’ wedding celebration and not as Jess and I are about to finalize the joint purchase of our Resort on 8 acres. old car with almost 230 thousand clicks on it. We weren’t feeling up to hosting our bi-weekly Third Space readings night so we cancelled, and we played some Multiplayer Stardew Valley. Dear Justin,
I’m enjoying this new push to write you more often. There’s always something going on, and at this rate I’ll blow by the 148 letters I wrote last year before the week is done. Maybe this year I’ll hit 200+ for the first time in I actually have no idea how long. Definitely pre-pandemic. Probably pre-breakup.
Have you ever used a meditation app? Last year I downloaded Aura, probably because of an ad on IG or something, and ended up paying over $160 for a family membership so the kids could use it too, to help
them sleep. They like to listen to rain sounds, and I like the
stories, especially the Betrix Potter ones. Anyway I forgot I had auto-renewal on, and got dinged for another $160. I tried to cancel my account but accidentally downgraded to premium first. Finally I did reach a human (I think) who did refund the money, but I just realized it was only for $106, so it must have been just the premium amount. I don’t have a big buffer in my TFSA anymore, so I’ve got to watch my wallet better. At least my EI claim was approved and even back-dated, so I may get more than I was anticipating. Might have enough to buy a gas generator AND that cute chain saw for Jess.

This here is a copy-paste of an open letter of artists and cultural organizations, would you consider signing? (It’s a joke. As the PM of Canada, representing all of us, I expect you to do the right thing and immediately condemn the Israeli war machine and ongoing genocide; as a politician, I know you will do everything wrong and continue to suck Israeili ass. How does it actually taste in your mouth, btw?
Artists & Academics in Canada: Statement of Support for Palestine
We, the undersigned artists, academics, and cultural workers, pledge our support for the Palestinian people in the face of over 75 years of Israeli apartheid, settler colonialism, military occupation, and
ethnic cleansing.
We understand that the events of this week did not occur in a vacuum. For two decades, Israel has held Palestinians in Gaza under siege, in an open-air prison, subjecting them to brutal massacres and weapons testing; depriving them of basic goods, food, clean water, medicine, and medical supplies. Since 2000, more than 135,000 Palestinians have been detained by Israeli forces, including 21,000 Palestinian children and hundreds of academics, artists, journalists, human rights
defenders, and parliamentarians. Peaceful protests continue to be met with Israeli sniper bullets. Palestinian journalists are targeted for bringing us news on the ground, as in the case of longtime Al Jazeera correspondent Shireen Abu Akleh, who was shot in the head by Israeli forces while covering Israeli attacks on Jenin refugee camp last year.
Palestine solidarity supporters and Palestinians around the world, particularly in the US, Canada, and Europe, are being criminalized, intimidated, imprisoned, facing unprecedented levels of anti-Palestinian racism and incitement of violence. This year, Israel’s far-right government implemented a criminal policy that legalized raids of Palestinian cities and villages across the West Bank and Jerusalem, reaching a record high of Palestinian deaths and arrests without charge or trial. The whole world understood in the case of Ukraine that resistance to military occupation is justified.
It is in fact a right guaranteed by international law. The militant
reaction from Palestinians in Gaza on October 7, 2023, is a result of decades of cruel and oppressive treatment.
As the Israeli regime flattens entire neighbourhoods in the besieged Gaza strip, where nearly half of the 2.3 million person population are children, over 1400 Palestinians have been killed, including 447 children, over 6,000 injured, and over 340,000 internally displaced (Palestinian Ministry of Health as of Thursday, October 12). As the illegal bombardment continues, we call on all people of conscience to show their meaningful solidarity with Palestinians.
We are disappointed and ashamed by the response of the Canadian government, elected representatives, and institutions, who have once again voiced their overwhelming support for apartheid Israel and legitimized the ongoing shelling of Gaza and the escalation of military violence in the West Bank. Understanding the settler-colonial nature of Canada and its foundations on the theft of Indigenous land and life, it is not entirely surprising that Canada would defend
siege, slaughter, and the theft of land. Yet, this has created an atmosphere of increased racism, policing, intimidation, and fear for Palestinians and their supporters in the settler colony of Canada.
How must Palestinians in Ottawa have felt to see the Israeli flag projected on Parliament Hill while Israel dropped internationally-banned white phosphorus in residential neighborhoods of Gaza, promising to “open the gates of hell”? What message does that send to Palestinians? Voices of conscience are publicly scolded and defamed, suggesting to Palestinians among us that they cannot voice their grief in public. In attacking political and labour leaders who
have voiced their support for Palestinians, the Canadian government has built an environment of fear and fueled acts of discrimination against Palestinians and their supporters.
As Israel commits war crimes with overwhelming evidence and documentation, mainstream media has catered to the heavy propaganda campaign launched by Israel and facilitated by western governments and media. Failing to document the war crimes of the Israeli regime or the suffering of Palestinians, and proliferating racist claims from Israel without substantiation, Canadian media is contributing to the dehumanization of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and beyond and manufacturing consent for the ongoing massacres.
As artists, cultural workers, and academics, we stand strong in support of the Palestinian struggle for freedom and against all forms of racism and settler-colonial violence. In response to the open call
from Palestinian artists and cultural workers for a cultural boycott of Israel, we pledge to accept neither professional invitations to Israel, nor funding, from any institutions linked to its government until it complies with international law and universal principles of human rights. Without international ground-up pressure through the Palestinian-led Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, the Israeli regime will continue to practice apartheid and commit crimes against the Palestinian people unhindered.
It is easy to look back at history and recognize right from wrong, but it takes bravery to speak for justice in the present moment. Join us in taking a principled stand. Apartheid is a security threat to all,
and none of us are free until all of us are free.

Spent a few hours putting up ribbons at the Royal Vic site this morning, then met up with Jess to a see a play her friend Erin is performing in. I had forgotten to bring my keys so couldn’t lock my bike but luckily Jess drove her new car we have named Old Greg. Even though she has her four winter tires in the back my bike not only fit, but it fit in upright. The RAV4 is amazingly roomy. Anyway the play was fun, weird, although half in French so Jess didn’t get it all. I
was unaware of the John Cage piece “As slow as possible” currently playing at a church in Halberstadt until 2640. The play was about music and time. When it was finished we came home, ate A&W because of migraines, and I finished reading The Guest by Emma Cline. Now I’ve washed the dishes, and I think I’ll just go to bed. I want to be up and at the Royal Vic site extra early tomorrow morning to catch the construction workers removing the “TRUTH”.

Dear Justin,
What a long day. I was up at the Royal Vic by 7:3o to check on the status of the ribbons. Still there, the word TRUTH still highly visible. There was lots of excavating going on however, despite the
SQI telling the Mohawk Mothers that there would be no work going on. Took some videos of the operations, and then went to the weekly meeting of the Street Solidarity Union. Worked on another small soapstone carving and gave away the first one I made. Then I was back to the Royal Vic to help put up more ribbons, to fill the letters in
better. Then I visited the Value Collective, who have space in the Hôtel Dieu space at the corner of Pins et Parc, where Nuns live. Beside the museum. The space was bought by the city and community groups have access. I left all the ribboning supplies there, came home to eat, then realized we had planned to give out flyers about the Mohawk Mothers before the Alanis Obomsawin talk at McGill, so I biked back down. Handed out some flyers to some folks coming just on time for the talk, but I was too tired to wait until it ended, and besides
Raj was there and he is very good at giving out flyers. Came home, washing laundry and made a calendar for Rose to help her keep track of her classes, and now I’ll watch the next episode of Our Flag Means Death with Jess, who had a full day of marking papers and planning her classes for the week.

seem so exorbitant. Anyway I hate consumerism so I don’t want to think about Xmas or the fact that the Halloween decorations are already down and the Xmas things already up at the Home Despot, wtf. I’m going to play some Stardew Valley.

I went to Rona and bought more marking tape and added another TRUTH. Forgot my car was parked on the cleaning side and got another ticket. That’s 2 in 2 weeks, or $184 big ones. Faaaaaaack.
In other news, Jess and I drove to Grenville and signed the deed for our new resort. Visited Hawkesbury on our way home. I’m off to meet the Mohawk Mothers group for a social gathering but will swing by the US consulate first for the big protest against Israel for their ongoing occupation and recent war crimes, including the bombing of a hospital in Gaza killing over 500 INNOCENT PEOPLE. Dear Justin,
Went in to Vox for the morning, a bit more prep for the démontage which begins on Monday. Went by the Royal Vic site and added another quick Truth in fluorescent marking tape. Tomorrow we are planning a big Ribbonfest that will hopefully last the weekend.
Yesterday I packed up pretty much all my studio crap and moved it to the back end of the hall. Sarah and Pascal are getting married this weekend and we want to empty the studio out so there is enough room for dancing.
I’m about to head to the studio now, to find some metallic spraypaint
to add to a wooden sword for Sol’s Halloween costume. He wants to be Link, surprise surprise.
Are you participating in the general strike tomorrow in support of Palestine? Have you called for an immediate ceasefire and an end to Israeli aggression? Have you condemned their use of collective punishment? What are you waiting for?

Dear Justin,
Had a slow start to the day, woke up made coffee and made a few posts to my socials about the Mohawk Mothers and Palestine. The drove to get Rose from her mom’s and take her to a friends house. They have a pédago today. Then I was at the rally in front of François Legault’s
office on Sherbrooke demanding an end to the bombing and the occupation. Then met fellow mosquitoes to add an even larger TRUTH in ribbons to the Royal Vic site. Then biked home to get the car and a sweater, picked Sol up and then we drove to get Rose, came home, made supper (ramen), and Rose and I started watching A Nightmare on Elm Street 1 again. To get in the mood for Halloween. Like the real world isn’t scary enough.

Dear Justin and Mélanie,
I’m up early this morning to make waffles for second breakfast and a tomato and TVP sauce for supper tonight, since Jess and will be at the wedding and party tonight.
You also might have noticed I skipped letter #145, but that is because I didn’t numerate the letter from Wednesday morning as it had a subject heading. It was a link to the petition. Did you sign it?
Here is another letter regarding Palestine:
Dear Prime Minister Trudeau and Foreign Minister Joly,
As a Canadian citizen, I condemn the Israeli attack against the Palestinian people of Gaza, the carpet bombing of civilians and the targeting of medical and civilian infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli occupation has killed over 3,785 civilians – 1,524 of whom are children. It’s time for Canada to demand an immediate end of this campaign of genocide. If we truly believe in protecting civilians, ending the carnage is the first step forward.
More than two million Palestinians remain trapped in an open-air prison, deprived en masse of food, water, medical supplies, fuel, and electricity, and faced with near-constant aerial bombardments. This collective punishment must come to an end.
It’s time for Canada to demand an end to Israel’s suffocating siege of the Gaza Strip.
It’s time for Canadian lawmakers to do what’s right, necessary and urgent. Stop the genocide now and let medical aid into Gaza.
Our demands are the following: We demand that (1) Canadian officials and representatives officially condemn the genocide that Israel is committing against the Palestinian people in Gaza.(2) We demand an acknowledgment of the rise in hate crimes and discrimination in Canada and a mobilization of resources to prevent extremist from engaging in
hate crimes against the Muslim, Arab and Palestinian communities. (3) We demand that Canada sends immediate medical aid to Gaza to assist the thousands of civilians that require urgent medical care as a
result of the campaign of genocide. (4) We demand the siege on Gaza be lifted and an end to the bombing.
I would add that Canada commit to the BDS movement and also sever diplomatic ties with Israel until they retreat completely and respect the 1948 borders, but I know you don’t have the guts to do that and Israel will never withdraw. Shame.

Dear Justin,
What a day! After a beautiful, short and highly efficient wedding ceremony yesterday Jess and I stopped in Chinatown for Banh Mi and it appeared the car battery drained. A passing motorist didn’t have jumper cables and I thought I had some but now they are missing? Anyway he suggested I pop the clutch from 2nd gear and lucky we were on a hill so that worked. Then we went to the party at the studio, Sarah and Pascal have wonderful friends and it was a beautiful time. I took a little MDMA but Jess wanted to be in tip-top shape for the big move out to our Resort today.
So I thought the battery died again and was using my charger from the jackery but still the engine wouldn’t turn over. Finally called CAA and they came while Jess was taking Sol to his friend Victor’s for a playdate. The CAA said the battery was fine and that it was the starter. He suggested I wack it a few times. Didn’t work. So change of plans, we drove there together in Jess’s car, but got helplessly lost on the way. We were driving up and down a driveway and almost went full-on off-roading before reaching the real estate agent and we realized we were on the wrong road. And even when we were on the right road we missed the turn for our property and drove another fifteen minutes around to the other side of our lake. Finally we arrived to find the sellers had given us the wrong key. Lucky for us a window was open and I was able to knock out the screen and then climb in. We unlocked the camp, loaded everything in, had a brief welcoming ceremony, and then hit the road back to the noise and hustle and bustle of the city. Once we were home I made pasta and a tomato sauce from scratch and played a few rounds of 5 Crowns with Rose and Sol before bedtime. And also made a cat hotel / climbing structure from empty cardboard boxes. I’m exhausted.

Dear Justin,
What a bonkers day at work. It was the first day of deinstall but also
we had to set up 2 galleries for a partnership with Vidéographe, which opens tomorrow at 11am. One of the videos needed everything installed, projector, etc. and the other was a 5.1 sound arrangement, and of
course for reasons beyond me, the projector was not reading the info from the computer. The newer generation mac minis have difficulties with the christie. Or vice versa. Anyway we got it done, but it was go-go-go all day. It also meant I had to miss our weekly Street
Solidarity Union meeting, and to physically help stop an eviction, or help make a poster for the Mohawk Mothers. And I’m still worn out from the bizarre day we had yesterday. I think I’m going to play a day or
two of Stardew Valley to decompress before bed, and the work cycle repeats. Oh, and I bought a starter on Amazon, using my re-activated free one-month trial of Prime it should arrive tomorrow. How the heck can that even physically happen I don’t know, but that is when they
say it will arrive. So now, the question is do I try to jump-start it
and drive it to my garage, or just call CAA to tow it? Should I try to replace the starter myself? What would you do?

Dear Justin,
Can you please ask Israel to stop bombing innocent people and maybe stop stealing land from Palestinians? Please?
I called CAA to tow Ericka to the Canadian Tire. And I received the new starter early this evening so I’ll drop it off on my way to work tomorrow. I took Sol to school in a Communauto, biked to the Canadian Tire and then work, and then left my bike up by Sol’s school and we took a Communauto home.
Another day at work, I was so tired by the middle of the afternoon I left work early and strung up another Truth message on the Royal Vic fence.
Oh, I sold most of the paintings I had sent to Tuck! Got over $500
sent to me, which I put on my credit card. I wanted to get the balance under $1000 but Rose’s tutoring comes out automatically and I bought a bunch of things for the cottage as well as the Hatsune Miku tickets
for Rose. I’m back to work now and I’ll have one more EI cycle so I’m technically ok for money but who knows what else will go wrong with Ericka. Also I don’t yet know what the duties or brokerage fees will
be for our solar setup. And I still need to buy Jess a chainsaw and we should probably get a gas generator as well. Money money money.

Dear Justin,
Free Gaza now! Stop the ground invasion! Do you not see a difference between “defending oneself” and outright hostility, land-grabbing, children-killing war-crimes?
Anyway, I got totally soaked by the rain yesterday as I biked to work but stopped by the fence to throw up another truth, which McGill has the SQI workers remove every.single.time.
I’m back at work today but also sooooooobored. I want to take more time to go to our resort and clean the chimney and prepare for winter. Our solar array has not yet shipped, I’m excited and anxious for it to arrive.

Dear Justin,
Another morning, another Truth thrown up on the fence. I was late this morning, actually forgot to set my alarm yesterday. But Rose work up on her own to catch up on her reading for her French assignment this morning. We made vegan butter cookies last night, and baked them this morning. I’ve bought tickets for her and I to see FNAF at 4pm. Afterwards I’m planning to go to the resort for a few nights, Jessica will already be there. She might be on her way now.I hope not because I have fuses for her car. The cigarette lighter and power outlet fuses were missing. I hope I got the right size yesterday from Canadian Tire when I went to pick up Ericka. She works again!
I’m still feeling overwhelmed with the situation in Gaza. Can you please get off your ass and do something? You have the power to do the right thing. Here’s a bit of the text from the petition I signed today
from my MP Alexandre Boulerice. Only the NDP have called for a ceasefire.
Canada has long been a voice for peace. The longer this conflict goes on, the more innocent civilians will pay with their lives. We demand that Canada join the growing international call for an immediate ceasefire. Canada must act before more innocent children are killed.
We further call on Canada to do all in its power to facilitate the
opening of a humanitarian corridor so that badly needed humanitarian
aid supplies can reach the innocent Palestinian people. The
The humanitarian situation in Gaza is a crisis worsening by the hour. They are out of food, water and medical supplies. Assistance is needed now.
Finally, we call on Canada to strongly stand up for international law. International law is clear that innocent civilians and all those not taking part in the fighting must on no account be attacked and must be spared and protected. Canada must remind all parties to this conflict of their responsibilities in this regard. Canada must recognize that,
for generations, the Palestinian people have suffered under occupation.
Canada must reaffirm its commitment to a free Palestinian state living
peacefully alongside a free Israeli state and do all it can to bring the parties to the negotiating table.
Prime Minister, the people of Canada are looking to you and their government to be a voice for peace and for the protection of innocent lives. They want Canada to once again answer the world’s call for courageous moral leadership in a time of war and despair, as generations of Canadians have answered that call throughout our nation’s history.
Sincerely,
—

Dear Justin,
I’m back from a few days in the woods to find that Israel has killed over 8000 people and you have some of the innocents’ blood on your hands. Everyday that goes by that you do not call for an immediate end to the bombing and that you do not condemn Israel for the long-standing occupation and for their current war crimes against Palestine is another day you endorse genocide. Time to step up to the plate. Sink or swim.

Happy Halloween. I gave out small bags of Cheesies dressed in my red morph suit with red pants, a checkerboard shirt from Jess and a black wig from rose. Frightened some trick or treaters. Not nearly as scary as the ongoing genocide of Palestinians. So utterly shameful that you had Canada abstain from a UN resolution calling for a ceasefire. You suck.
